The Ministry of Health of Indonesia with The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) visited PT Kalbio Global Medika on July 21st 2022. The visit is in line with the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the sector of health which both parties have agreed, that is to push the health sector investment portfolio. The possibility of joint-ventures between Indonesia and UAE focusing on drugs, vaccines, and medical devices production is also discussed, which is hoped could be a big help for when the next pandemic comes. Factory visit to several collaboration-potential companies was also done, and KGM is considered as one of them. Building a good relationship and networking with UAE is one important aspect because they are included in MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. The market in MENA region is fairly attractive and potential for biologics products, hence it is added to the list of priority territory that wants to be built for the 2022-2024 period. This collaboration is considered to be a big chance and a good start for developing a stronger global health architecture which once was crumbling because of COVID-19.
