KGM Participating in the Drug Raw Materials Change Source Kick-off
The kick-off of the Domestic Drug Raw Materials Use Change Source and the Inauguration of Drug Raw Material Factory is held on June 2nd 2022 at PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmachopia Delta Silicon 1 Lippo Cikarang, South Cikarang, West Java.
This is planned to be the government's strategy to increase the use of domestic drug raw materials, as a substitute for the imported ones. The government has committed to prioritize domestic product usage in order to boost the industry and reduce high dependence on imported raw materials.
PT Kalbio Global Medika participated in the making of erythropoietin, which stimulates red blood cell production in the bone marrow to bring oxygen from the lungs to the whole body.
Besides PT Kalbio Global Medika, there are several other participating factories as well, which are PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia, PT Veron Pharmaceutical, PT Daewoong Infion, PT Kimia Farma, PT Dexa Medica, PT Otto Pharmaceutical, PT Meprofarm, PT Pertiwi Agung, PT Novel Pharmaceutical Laboratories, PT Phapros, PT Lapi Laboratories, dan PT Dipa Pharmalas. Later on, the materials produced by these factories are gonna be used in many health facilities in Indonesia.
